In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, at Government House.

Later in the morning, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson travelled to the Northern Rivers for a regional visit.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson visited the Richmond Police District Headquarters, in Lismore, and the Bulgarr Ngaru Medical Aboriginal Corporation, in Casino. Afterwards, in Casino, they met with members of the Richmond Valley Council, and visited the Casino and District Memorial Hospital.
