In the afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson hosted Jazz@theHouse, featuring the Royal Australian Navy Band Sydney Jazz Ensemble, at Government House.

Later in the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson, as official guests, attended the NRLW and the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Finals, at the Accor Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush.
