On Tuesday 12 July, the Governor and Mr Wilson travelled to flood impacted areas of Greater Sydney accompanied by the Acting Deputy Commissioner and the Acting Assistant Commissioner of the NSW State Emergency Service.

They thanked staff and volunteers and were updated on the current situation at the Hawkesbury Local Emergency Operations Centre at Windsor, the NSW SES Hawkesbury Unit in Wilberforce, and the NSW SES Forward Command Post at Wisemans Ferry.
