On 14 February 2023, the Governor and Mr Wilson had the privilege of welcoming Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and His Royal Highness Prince Daniel to Government House, at a Reception for Swedish Business Groups. Accompanied by a Team Sweden delegation led by Mr Johan Forssell, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, the visit aimed to deepen bilateral relations and promote two-way investment and information-sharing in electrification, mining, healthcare, and innovation, with an emphasis on sustainability.

In her welcome remarks, the Governor spoke not only of the abiding friendship between our two countries, but also the enduring trade connections between New South Wales and Sweden’s long legacy of innovation.
