The Governor had the privilege of presenting 17 extraordinary Australians with Certificates of Commendation or NSW Police Awards at the 2024 Royal Life Saving NSW Annual Commendation Ceremony.

Recognised for their actions in coming to the aid of someone else, often in distressing circumstances and at risk to their own safety, each exemplifies an inspirational willingness to step up, step in, and do all they can to help save someone else’s life.

In offering her deepest thanks to each of the recipients, the Governor also commended Royal Life Saving NSW for its part in raising awareness of the importance of proficiency in water safety, First Aid, CPR, defibrillation, and anaphylaxis response, and their programs ensuring people across all parts of our State have access to training in, and maintenance of, these potentially life-saving skills.
