The Governor and Mr Wilson spent the first two days of their regional visit to the Wentworth, Balranald, and Hay Shires in and around Dareton, Mungo National Park, and Balranald. Highlights included catching up with students and staff from Dareton Public School and experiencing the stories of climatic change, human adaptation, and the continuance of culture told by the breathtaking landscapes at Mungo National Park. They also visited the Tronox Atlas-Campaspe Mine, met students from Clare Public School and members of the back-country farming community, heard from Balranald Shire Council representatives about local achievements and aspirations, and toured the Cadell Almond Orchard.
