Vice-Regal Visit to Taree, Forster, and Tuncurry

The Governor and Mr Wilson spent three days meeting the people, places, and organisations supporting, celebrating, and connecting communities in and around Taree, Forster, and Tuncurry.
Engagements included meeting MidCoast Council representatives, touring Manning Valley Free Range Eggs, finding out about the incredible disability employment participation programs at Valley Industries, and touring Manning Base Hospital. They also visited Taree Indigenous Development and Enterprise (TIDE), met members of 1st Forster-Tuncurry Scout Group, learned about the cultural, inclusive, and supported learning programs at Chatham High School, and met staff, volunteers, and clients at Forster Neighbourhood Centre community support services.
The Vice Regal couple participated in a presentation ceremony at Marine Rescue Forster Tuncurry, met staff at Great Lakes Women's Shelter, learned about activities at, and the history of, the Forster Surf Life Saving Club, watched PCYC Taree programs in action, and viewed exhibitions at the Manning Regional Art Gallery.
