Pathfinders' Pumpkin Run 2024 Morning Tea

The Governor and Mr Wilson had the privilege of welcoming the team from Pathfinders to Government House during the Sydney leg of their Pumpkin Run 2024. Now in its tenth year, the Pumpkin Run is an opportunity for young people empowered by Pathfinders’ support and education programs to give back to community. This year, over ten tonnes of pumpkins were grown at Pathfinders’ Tilbuster Station, most of which has now been distributed to community groups up and down the coast between Armidale and Sydney.
The Governor thanked Pathfinders for the opportunities their programs offered young people in the New England area, as well as the young people themselves, who helped at every stage of the Pumpkin Run, from planting, growing, and harvesting the pumpkins, to preparing, cooking, and distributing meals to those in need.
