On Monday, 1 July 2024, the Governor and Mr Wilson had the enormous privilege of hosting the NSW Humanitarian Awards 2024, which recognises and celebrates the outstanding efforts of individuals and organisations supporting and empowering refugees in NSW.
Organised by the NSW Services for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors (STARTTS) and the Refugee Council of Australia, the Awards shine a light on the best of who we are as a community, on those who, through their dedication and action, embody and exemplify our State's highest values: compassion, inclusivity, and looking out for each other.
