In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, the Governor received Mrs Anne Boillon, the recently appointed Consul-General of France.

Later in the afternoon, Her Excellency received Mr Mohammad Sufiur Rahman, High Commissioner of Bangladesh, at Government House.

In the evening, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, officially opened Alinea Chambers, at The Mint.
