In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later in the morning, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson commenced a Regional Visit to the Central West region of New South Wales.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson met with councillors of the Parkes Shire Council and members of the Parkes Chamber of Commerce. Afterwards, the Vice-Regal couple toured the Parkes Water Treatment Plant and Advanced Water Recycling Facility.
