In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, met with Mr Ken Moroney AO APM, Former NSW Police Commissioner, Mr Tony Fitzgerald, Director, and Ms Christie Anderson, Assistant Director, NSW Historic Police Museum, at Government House.

Following this, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, was conferred with the degree of Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) from the Macquarie University, at The Chancery, Macquarie University, Ryde.

Later, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Wilson, conducted a private investiture of Mr John Stavert OAM, at Uniting Bowden Brae Care Independent Living, Normanhurst.

In the evening the Governor and Mr Wilson attended the opening night performance of Sydney Dance Company’s Ascent, at the Sydney Opera House, Sydney.
