In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later in the morning, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, laid the first wreath at the Victory in the Pacific Commemoration Service, at Cabravale Memorial Park, Cabramatta.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson hosted a reception at Government House to launch Regional Opportunities Australia.
