In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later in the morning, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, gave the Occasional Address at The University of Sydney Law School Graduation Ceremony, in The Great Hall. Afterwards, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson attended a ceremony for the awarding of an Honorary Doctorate to the Honourable Robert Austin, followed by afternoon tea.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson hosted the Christmas Reception, at Government House.
