In the afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, visited HMS Tamar at Fleet Base East, Garden Island, as guests of Commander Telio Elliot-Smith RN. Her Excellency was received by the Right Honourable Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP, the United Kingdom’s Minister of State (Indo-Pacific), for a Courtesy Call onboard the ship.

Later, the Governor received the Honourable TF Bathurst AC KC, to deliver the final report from the 2022 Inquiry into the convictions of Kathleen Megan Folbigg, at Government House.

In the evening, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, welcomed Chiefs of Navy, their counterparts and representatives, and delegates, to a New South Wales Government Reception for Indo Pacific 2023: International Maritime Exposition, at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
