In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, received Ms Trudy Witbreuk, NSW State Director, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, at Government House.

Later in the morning, the Governor received His Excellency Mr Wahidullah Waissi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Australia.

In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, launched ‘The Queen’s Album’ exhibition, at Government House. This new exhibition, produced to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Queen Victoria, features images reproduced from an album given to Queen Victoria by the people of New South Wales in 1882.
