In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, commenced her Australia Day program, delivering an address at the WugulOra Morning Ceremony, at the Headland, Barangaroo Reserve. Afterwards the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, fired the starting gun at the Oz Day 10K Road Race, at The Rocks.

Later in the morning, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, presided at a Citizenship Ceremony at Government House. Afterwards, Her Excellency received the salute and delivered the 2021 Australia Day address during the Salute to Australia, at Government House.

In the evening, as Patron of the Australia Day Council of NSW, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson attended the Australia Day Live Concert, at the Sydney Opera House.
