In the evening, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, hosted a Recital and Reception to launch the inaugural Australian Commonwealth Scholarship of the Royal College of Music, London, at Government House.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended a dinner hosted by Mr Peter Freedman AM, at Aria Restaurant.
