In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, unveiled plaques on the World War II Benches of Remembrance, in a Memorial Service, in Kearsley.

Later in the morning, the Governor and Mr Wilson met with officials, staff, mentors and volunteers from SHINE for Kids, at the SHINE for Kids Cottage, in Cessnock.

In the afternoon, the Vice-Regal couple engaged with trainers and students at the Hunter Plant Operator Training School, in Cessnock.

Later in the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson visited the Iron Gate Estate, in Pokolbin.
