In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, received His Excellency Mahmoud Zayed, Ambassador of Egypt, and Mr Mohamed Khalil, Consul-General of Egypt, at Government House.

Following this, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson hosted a luncheon for sculptors providing work for display at Government House, at Government House.

In the afternoon, representing Her Excellency, Group Captain David Glasson MVO, Honorary Military Secretary to the Governor, attended the Funeral of the late Commissioner Anthony Raymond Lauer APM, at Grace West Anglican Church, Glenmore Park.
