In the afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson hosted an afternoon tea for Centenarians, at Government House. The event, facilitated by Sydney Host Lions Club, celebrates members of the community who have reached 100 years of age.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended the Celebration of Matariki (Māori New Year), hosted by the Consul-General of New Zealand, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, The Rocks.
