In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, delivered an address at the ANZAC Assembly of Sydney Technical High School, where she unveiled an Honour Board in remembrance of former students of the school who had served in the Vietnam War, and placed the first wreath, together with Year 12 school captain, Mr Ghassan Adra.

In the evening, as official guests, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended a performance of ‘Fences’ by the Sydney Theatre Company, at Walsh Bay.
