In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson commenced a regional visit program in the Mid North Coast, beginning with a Working Lunch with councillors and staff of the MidCoast Council, at Yalawanyi Ganya, Taree.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited Valley Industries, a provider of services for people with disabilities on the Mid North Coast. Afterwards, they met with officials, board members and staff of the Taree Indigenous & Development Enterprise (TIDE), in Taree.

Later in the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson toured the Manning Base Hospital, including the Emergency Department, and Maternity and Paediatric Wards.

In the evening, the Governor, as Chief Scout of NSW, accompanied by Mr Wilson, presided at an Australian Scout Award Presentation at the 1^st Forster-Tuncurry Scouts, Forster.
