In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, travelled to Yamba to commence a regional visit to the Clarence Valley.

In Yamba, the Governor and Mr Wilson were escorted on a tour of Sunshine Sugar, Harwood Mill and Refinery.

Afterwards, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson received an onboard demonstration of Marine Rescue NSW operations, prior to the Governor presenting Long Service Awards to five recipients, and meeting with Marine Rescue NSW members.

Later, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited Yamba Museum where they viewed the Museum’s ‘The Surreal Feel’ exhibition and met with members of the Port of Yamba Historical Society.
