In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson returned to Sydney, and Her Excellency reassumed administration of the Government of New South Wales.

In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, welcomed visiting athletes at The GIO Summer Down Under Series Welcome Event, hosted by Wheelchair Sports NSW, at the ANZAC Memorial, Hyde Park, Sydney.
