In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, presided at the Swearing-In Ceremony of The Honourable Dominic Perrottet MP as Minister for Finance and Minister for Employee Relations, and The Honourable Sarah Mitchell as Vice President of the Executive Council. The Governor then presided over a meeting of the Executive Council.

Later in the morning, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson received His Excellency Mr Shingo Yamagami, Ambassador of Japan, accompanied by Mrs Kaoru Yamagami, and Mr Shuichi Tokuda, Consul-General of Japan, accompanied by Mrs Mariko Tokuda.

Subsequently, the Governor received The Honourable Gabrielle Upton MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson attended the Ensemble Theatre performance of A Broadcast Coup, at the Ensemble Theatre, Kirribilli.
