In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson visited the Lord Howe Island Central School, and afterwards were briefed on and inspected marine conditions with Dean Hiscox, Director, Lord Howe Environmental Tours.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited The Nursery where they were shown the Kentia Palm Greenhouse and the Primary Produce Greenhouse.

Later in the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson met with Mr Justin Gilligan, Manager, and Ms Caitlin Woods, Marine Park Officer, Lord Howe Island Marine Park, Marine Parks NSW, at the Marine Park NSW Office.

In the evening, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, delivered remarks at the Discovery Day Celebrations, held at the Lord Howe Island Oval.
