In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson attended the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bastille Day Champagne Breakfast, at Café Sydney.

In the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, laid the first wreath at the Inaugural Middle East Area of Operations Commemoration, at The Cenotaph, Martin Place.
