In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, as Honorary Colonel, attended the 2024 Royal New South Wales Regiment (RNSWR) Church Service, and read the First Lesson, at St John’s Anglican Church, Reid, Canberra.

Also in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Andrew Bell, Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales, attended, and laid the first wreath at, the Vietnam Veterans' Day Ceremony, at the Cenotaph, Martin Place.

In the evening, upon returning to the State, the Governor reassumed Administration of the Government of New South Wales.
