In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, delivered a keynote address at the Public Defenders Criminal Law Conference, at the Aerial UTS Function Centre, Sydney.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson commenced a tour of the Hunter region, with a visit to the Murrurundi Men’s Shed, in Murrurundi.

Later in the afternoon Her Excellency and Mr Wilson met with Doing It For Our Farmers, a group that assisted the local community survive devastating years of drought with dignity, in Murrurundi.

Afterwards, the Vice-Regal couple toured the Michael Reid Gallery, in Murrurundi.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson, as joint Patrons of Keep Australia Beautiful Council NSW, presented awards at the Sustainable Communities Tidy Towns Awards, at the White Hart Hotel, Murrurundi. For further information: kabnsw.org.au
