In the afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson attended a Working Lunch with members of the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and the Port Macquarie Chamber of Commerce, at the Charles Sturt University Theatre, Port Macquarie.
Later in the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, officially opened the viewing platform of Mrs York’s Garden, Port Macquarie.
In the evening, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Wilson, officially launched the Wakulda, Weaving Our Stories as One sound and light installation, and attended the launch reception, in Port Macquarie.
Later in the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended dinner with Councillor Peta Pinson, Mayor, and Dr Clare Allen, Chief Executive Officer, of Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, and Uncle Bill O’Brien OAM, Chairperson, Birpai Local Aboriginal Land Council, and Mr Amos Donovan, Chairperson, Bunyah Local Aboriginal Land Council, at Zebu Restaurant, Port Macquarie.
