In the afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson hosted a luncheon for the Honourable Justice Andrew Bell, President of the NSW Court of Appeal, and Ms Joanna Bird, and Sir Anthony Mason and Sir Gerard Brennan, former Chief Justices of Australia, at Government House.

In the evening, the Governor attended the Australian Ballet performance of The Nutcracker, at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House.
