In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson, departed Sydney for Dubbo on a regional visit.
The Governor and Mr Wilson met with Dubbo Regional Council leaders, before travelling to Balladoran to meet with Uncle Ralph Naden OAM, founder of the Yalmambirra Boogijoon Doolan Youth Camp. At the camp, the Governor and Mr Wilson engaged with participants of the Aboriginal cultural program, and planted a commemorative tree.
Afterwards, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson visited the Indigenous Police Recruitment Our Way Delivery program at Dubbo.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson met with youth participants and staff at Yarruwala Youth and Family Services.
Later, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson were received by Mr Mark Gibson ESM, Commissioner, NSW Volunteer Rescue Association, at the Dubbo Volunteer Rescue Association/State Emergency Service Headquarters. At this event, the Governor and Mr Wilson met with staff and volunteers and toured the facilities.
