In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, attended the Ceremonial Sitting and Swearing-in of the Honourable Justice Stephen Gageler AC, as Chief Justice of Australia, via a live-stream link, at the Law Courts Building, Queen’s Square, Sydney.

In the evening, the Governor hosted a reception for the Rhodes Scholarship Selection Committee and Shortlisted Candidates, at Government House.
