In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, visited areas on the far North Coast impacted by flooding associated with Cyclone Alfred.

In the morning, the Governor met with Ballina Shire Council representatives and other stakeholders to view the cyclone’s impact on coastal erosion, at Ballina Lighthouse and Lismore Surf Life Saving Club.

Later in the morning, Her Excellency visited Broadwater Public School, for their first day in new facilities built following the 2022 floods.

In the afternoon, the Governor took a walk through the Coraki Central Business District engaging with local business and community members.

Later in the afternoon, Her Excellency hosted an afternoon tea for local SES members and partner agencies, at the Ballina SES Unit.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson hosted a Celebration of the Endorsement of the Rotary District 9675 Reconciliation Action Plan, at Government House. For further information, visit: rotarydistrict9675.org

In the evening, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. Her Excellency, following advice of the Council, issued a Writ for the election of Senators for New South Wales.
