In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, welcomed staff and volunteers of the Pathfinders Pumpkin Run 2024 during a reception at Government House. In its 10^th year, Pathfinders Pumpkin Run is an initiative that has brought together young people from Pathfinders’ programs to distribute fresh pumpkins, grown and harvested by young people from Pathfinders’ working farm Tilbuster Station, near Armidale, to charitable organisations across New South Wales, providing essential meals to individuals and families facing hardship.

In the evening, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Wilson, delivered an address at a reception to celebrate Italy’s Republic Day (Festa Della Repubblica), at Doltone House, Pyrmont.

In the evening, as a consequence of His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, having departed the country, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, assumed administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia.

Concurrently, His Excellency the Honourable Andrew Bell, Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales, assumed administration of the Government of the State of New South Wales.
