In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, attended the Funeral Service of the Late Mr Wally Scott-Smith OAM, at Woronora Memorial Park, Sutherland.

Mr Scott-Smith was Chief Attendant of the Cenotaph in Martin Place for 78 years, retiring at the age of 96 after ANZAC Day last year, having served the position with exemplary commitment and dedication.
