In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, as Visitor of the University, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, attended, and delivered an address at, the Installation Ceremony for the 5^th Chancellor of the University of Wollongong, Mr Michael Still, in University Hall, University of Wollongong, Wollongong.

Afterwards, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Wilson, attended a Reception in Celebration of the Independence Day of the United States of America, hosted by the Consulate-General of the United States of America in Sydney, at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney.

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended the Farewell for Ms Belinda Hutchinson AC, 18^th Chancellor of the University of Sydney, in the Great Hall, University of Sydney, Camperdown.
