In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson attended a Memorial Service, at the Muswellbrook Cenotaph.
Following the service, the Governor and Mr Wilson met with veterans and members of the St Heliers Indigenous Cultural Program, at a morning tea at the Muswellbrook Regional Art Gallery.
In the afternoon, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Wilson laid the foundation stone for the Donald Horne Building, which will be the home of the Upper Hunter Innovation Hub, in Muswellbrook.
Afterwards, the Vice-Regal couple engaged in a roundtable discussion with members of the Muswellbrook Shire Council, at the Tertiary Education Centre, University of Newcastle, Muswellbrook.
Later in the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited Muswellbrook High School. Subsequently, the couple toured the Liddell Power Station, in Muswellbrook.
In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson engaged with members of the Wanaruah Local Aboriginal Land Council, in Muswellbrook.
