In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, departed Sydney Airport for Brisbane.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson called on His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland and Mrs de Jersey, at Government House Queensland.

In the evening, the Governor delivered the Supreme Court of Queensland Oration at the Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts, Brisbane and afterwards attended a Dinner in her honour.

As a consequence of Her Excellency departing the State, The Honourable TF Bathurst AC, as Lieutenant-Governor, assumed the Administration of the Government of New South Wales.
