In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson attended a morning tea with Justice Stephen Gageler AC, at the High Court of Australia, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended the Swearing in of the Honourable Jacqueline Sarah Gleeson as a Justice of the High Court of Australia.

In the afternoon, the Governor returned to Sydney and reassumed administration of the Government of New South Wales.

Later in the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson hosted the Unveiling of the Coat of Arms of former Governor Professor The Honourable Dame Marie Bashir AD CVO, followed by an Afternoon Tea, on the Arcade at Government House, Sydney.      

In the evening, the Governor and Mr Wilson attended Opera Australia’s opening night performance of Bluebeard’s Castle, at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House.
