In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, met with Kempsey Shire Council representatives, at the Macleay Valley Country Universities Centre, Kempsey.

Following this, the Governor attended the End of Term Community Barbeque, at Macleay Valley Vocational College, South Kempsey.

In the afternoon, Her Excellency met with members of the Learning the Macleay Community Reference Group, local community leaders, and Local Government representatives, to hear about the Stronger Places, Stronger People initiative, at Dalaigur Preschool, West Kempsey.

Afterwards, the Governor met staff and residents of the Booroongen Djugun Residential Care Facility, in Kempsey.

Later, Her Excellency conducted a private investiture ceremony for Mr Colin Ball OAM, in Kempsey.
