In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson received His Excellency Huang Chuping, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress.

Following that, the Governor delivered a keynote address at the opening Plenary Session of the 29^th NSW-Guangdong Joint Economic Meeting, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, The Rocks.

In the afternoon, the Governor, joined by His Excellency Huang Chuping, opened the Chinese Friendship Bridge and planted a ginko tree at the Chinese Garden of Friendship, in Darling Harbour.
