Due to the unavailability of Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, the Honourable Justice John Basten, assumed administration of the Government of the State of New South Wales.

In the afternoon, His Honour the Administrator presided over an investiture ceremony for Mr Stephen Cartwright OAM, NSW Agent-General – UK, Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner – Europe & Israel, at Government House.

Earlier in the day, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, was represented by Group Captain David Glasson MVO, Military Secretary to the Governor, at the funeral service for the late Valerie Grogan AM, at St Swithun’s Anglican Church, Pymble.
