Today, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, Governor of New South Wales, received the following guests in recognition of National Science Week, in virtual meetings facilitated by Government House Sydney:
In the morning, the Governor received Professor John Watson AM, Senior Vice Dean (Clinical Affairs), University of New South Wales, Professor Gregg Suaning, Head of School of Biomedical Engineering, University of Sydney, Professor Richard Morris AM, Conjoint Associate Professor, St George & Sutherland Clinical School, Mr Michael DiRienzo, Chief Executive, Hunter New England Local Health District, Mr Rod Henderson, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Ampcontrol, Mr Peter Lawless, Director, Ventilator Innovation Project and Ms Ava Del Tufo, Third Year Medical Student, University of New South Wales.
Afterwards, Her Excellency received Professor Lisa Harvey-Smith, Federal Government Women in STEM Ambassador, Ms Isabelle Kingsley, Research Associate, Ms Siobhan Campbell, Project Manager, and Ms Lauren Sullivan, Project Officer, Office for the Women in STEM Ambassador.
Later in the morning, the Governor received Dr Gregory Wilson, Research Group Leader (Solar Technologies), Mr Rob McNaughton, Principal Engineer, Dr Terry Yang, Postdoctoral Fellow, and Ms Camilla Lian, Doctorate Student, from the CSIRO Energy Centre.
In the afternoon, Her Excellency received Professor Dominic Dwyer, Director of Public Health Pathology, NSW Health, Professor Vitali Sintchenko, Director, Centre for Infectious Diseases and Microbiology Public Health, Sydney West Local Health District and Pathology West, and Dr Nicole Gilroy, Senior Staff Specialist, Infectious Diseases, Westmead Hospital.
Later in the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson received Professor Jennifer Martin, Chair of Clinical Pharmacology, University of Newcastle.
