In the morning and in the afternoon, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, accompanied by Mr Dennis Wilson, conducted investiture ceremonies at Government House for men and women of New South Wales whose awards were announced in the 2023 Australia Day Honours List. Afterwards, the Governor received Mr John Schmidt, NSW Electoral Commissioner, and Ms Rachel McCallum, Legal Counsel, who returned the Writs issued by the Governor for the NSW State Election, held on Saturday 25 March 2023.

In the evening, Her Excellency, accompanied by Mr Wilson, as official guests, delivered an address and placed the first wreath at Hunters Hill 100^th Combined ANZAC Memorial Service, at Hunters Hill Town Hall. The Governor also unveiled a plaque to mark the Centenary.
