In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales received His Excellency Dr George Vella, President of Malta, accompanied by the Honourable Dr Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, Minister of Public Works and Planning; His Excellency Mr Mario Farrugia Borg, High Commissioner for Malta; Mr Lawrence Buhagiar, Consul-General of Malta, and members of the President’s official party, during a call at Government House.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Dennis Wilson, as official guests of Ms Sarah Quigley, Acting Consul-General of Canada and Senior Trade Commissioner, attended a reception to celebrate the international reach of SXSW Sydney, at Canada House, Chippendale.

In the evening, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson, as special guests of the Mental Health Foundation Australia, attended the Dine for Mind Gala Dinner in celebration of National Multicultural Mental Health Month, at the Emporium Function Centre, Bankstown.
