In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson visited the Nestle Purina PetCare Factory in Blayney, where they toured the factory and had morning tea with staff.
Following this, in Bathurst, the Governor and Mr Wilson visited the Bathurst Courthouse and the Bathurst District Historical Society Museum, where they viewed restoration works and museum displays, and met Court staff and Historical Society volunteers.
In the afternoon, the Vice Regal couple lunched at Café on Corporation and met inclusive employment program participants, before touring Charles Sturt University Bathurst Campus, where they met Engineering, Paramedicine, and Communications students and academics.
Later, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson visited the Bathurst Local Aboriginal Land Council, where they met members and representatives. Thereafter, the Vice Regal couple undertook a tour of the Central Tablelands Collections Facility, a museum collection storage and conservation service operated by Bathurst Regional Council.
