In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales, as Patron, and Mr Dennis Wilson visited the Black Dog Institute, in Randwick. The Institute is dedicated to understanding, preventing and treating mental illness. October is Mental Health Month, an opportunity to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing. In the afternoon, the Governor, accompanied by Mr Wilson, attended the NSW Wine Awards Ceremony and presented the NSW Governor’s Best in Show trophy, at the International Convention Centre, Sydney.
Later in the afternoon, Her Excellency and Mr Wilson attended the State Memorial Service for the late Honourable Jane Matthews AO, at the Sydney Opera House.
In the evening, the Governor, as Patron of No 22 (City of Sydney) Squadron Association, and Mr Wilson attended the Annual Flight Lieutenant W. E. Newton VC Commemorative Dinner and Awards Night, at RAAF Base Richmond. For further information visit: www.22squadronassociation.org.au
