In the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson attended the Lord Howe Island Senior Citizen Picnic, held at North Bay.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mr Wilson met with the Lord Howe Island Biosecurity Team and inspected the Phasmid and Woodhen enclosures, and the Lord Howe Island Permanent Reserve.

Later in the afternoon, the Vice Regal couple met with local families and were briefed on boat building activities at the Lord Howe Island Aquatic Club.
